Oceania Long Distance Championships
- incorporating SILVA National Orienteering League – Race 13 (IOF World Ranking Event), Australian v New Zealand Individual Challenge & Victorian Long Distance Championships
Returning to the area last used for the 2009 Australian Long Distance and Relay Championships; competitors will face technically challenging terrain in some of Victoria’s most picturesque native forest. The terrain is generally open eucalypt forest with areas of slow running, undulating to steep in sections, with complex granite rock features.

Oceania Middle Distance Championships
- incorporating SILVA National Orienteering League – Race 14 (IOF World Ranking Event)
It is with great delight that we present this new area for the Oceania Middle Distance Championships. The terrain is heavily sluiced gold mining with a network of minor tracks. The mildly undulating area is generally slow run but is very variable across the map. The unrelenting nature of the terrain is such that competitors will be greatly challenged to manage their speed and navigation to ensure clean passage through their course.
The area is more complex than any existing gold mining area known to me. This is a world class area for middle distance orienteering!- Alex Tarr – Mapper

- Warren Key – Course Setter
One of Australia’s great orienteering areas – a rare opportunity to enjoy orienteering at its absolute very best! Don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience a high quality event, with courses that are sure to challenge the best through this wonderful terrain. This will be one of those races to really look forward to!
